The Mumma Bus
It wasn’t him. It was totally me.
He made me feel like a proper grown up and he basically screamed ‘Mum with loads of kids’. It was a daily reminder I had four kids? Where the hell did they come from? Can I just point out I wanted to put where the fuck but I resisted. I must be growing up!
So unfair on Victor as he was such a great car. He offered nothing but luxury. Comfy captain chairs, full leather, not one but two dvd players, a sat nav that never let us down and even had storage in the floor!
Bless poor Victor but he just gave off the wrong vibe. I once went to pick up Mr INPO from the pub (I know I am such an awesome wife) and a very young man was walking towards the car. Waving, even a cheeky wink. I won’t lie I was kind of thinking ‘Yeah Mamma still got it’. To which he opened the sliding doors and went to get in saying “Watton-at-Stone please mate”. I screamed. He screamed. I am not sure what is the saddest part of this story. The fact that with messy bun, no make up and slippers I actually thought ‘Mamma still got it’ or the fact he thought Victor was a taxi.
Bless Victor. I never really appreciated him. Until someone set him on fire.
Long story short. Victor, the trooper, got us all the way to Tuscany. Literally to the door of the villa. Then died. We got him taken back to UK. It took him 4 long weeks to get home. He arrived at the garage (of which we won’t mention here) who jump start the car and then they left him and went off to answer the phone. Poor Victor could not quite cope with the jump start after so long and his battery imploded. Sadly Victor was very very dead this time. RIP Victor.
Now Chrysler the beggars have stopped selling any more Victors in the UK so we are back to the drawing board with cars and nothing quite matches up to him. I feel terrible for the way I treated Victor. I am going to be test driving a few beasts and we will see if any live up to the legend that was Victor. Isn;t it the way that you do not appreciate what you have until it is gone??
That is my life for the next few weeks. Cars. I am trying to get excited but everything I really like is more than some houses cost! Listening to car salesmen whilst trying desperately not to give them any personal details so they can track you down and hound you for weeks on end!! I will let you know if anything comes close to Victor.
Any advice on big beasts is gratefully received even if all you can offer is colour opinion!!
