My Mothers Day Edit. All for me.
I currently live in Mothers Day limbo land. Gone are the days of the handmade cards from school and to be honest I am so over the Daffodils made from egg boxes. I loved them with all my heart at the time (as long as they didn’t involve glitter) but I am demanding more from Mothers Day. Trouble is the kids are not really earning or able to afford the kind of gifts I am after so Mr INPO is going to have to put his hand in his pocket and yet still be delighted when I get him some DAD socks in June!
So this is my Mothers Day Edit. The kind of good shit we (ok I – me, myself and I – its all about me) really want. Not a mug or teddy in sight.
As I have got myself the blogger camera of dreams – Penny the Olympus Pen PL-8 – I obviously need to spend almost as much as the camera on a bag to keep her safe and look the biz. I have completely no idea how to work the camera but I think Penny deserves only the very best – either of these two bags will will do the job.
Chances of actually getting either of these – Zilch.
Sticking with the bag theme I was actually with my gorgeous friend Jo who owns Scampanddude.com when I spotted the Marc Jacobs bag in Selfridges and she actually has the Vlieger & Vandam one but that leads me smoothly on to my next Mothers Day desire – anything Scamp & Dude. I am not fussy. I already have the mint Scamp and Dude leopard print jumper and mini swag bag but I love the entire range so would be happy to unwrap my pressie on Mothers Day and spot the S&D pattern.
Jo is currently fighting Asda who have the bloody bareface cheek to release a top with her trademarked slogan A Superhero Has My Back. Even using a lightening bolt on the design. Trademarked!!!?! Jo should not be put in this position but I am so proud of the fight she is putting up. Small brands are uniting and Jo now has an army behind her who have her back!
As luck would have it Scamp and Dude are releasing a new design – a tiger print!!! Oh sweet lord above it is stunning!! Puuuuuuuurfect for Mothers Day – Hint hint Mr INPO. Available in white or oatmeal. I love the white but I love the detail on the Oatmeal. Chances of actually getting this – average to good.
Mr INPO finds me incredibly hard to buy for and on most occasions gets in such a flap he just simply does nothing. About once a decade he gets it right. My Monica Vinadar bracelet with the kids names engraved on the inside was one such time. I was so delighted I may have even offered sexual services.
The chances of a coat from the amazing Miranda Dunn are pretty slim and I do not actually want him to get it. I want him to pay for it as a gift but I want to meet Miranda, go for coffee and design the coat of dreams. Navy with stripes of some kind and a super bright lining. Ok I lie, not coffee. Wine. Oh and @chloelovestoshop would have to be there too! Go big or go home right?
Anyway I do not think I am not difficult to buy for and despite the above suggestions I am easy to please. If in doubt look at the rainbow shelf. Pick a colour that is lacking and search out the gin. Bob is very much your Uncle. To help him out even further I am lacking in Orange and Yellow but I am hankering after the beautiful Harris Gin bottle too despite being somewhat blue heavy on the rainbow!
Gin Rainbow (I could not work out how to do the hover thingy on all the bottles so just doing a list!!)
Orange – Electric Spirit Co – www.harveynichols.com
Gold – Warners Edwards HoneyBee Gin – www.warneredwards.com
Yellow – Tinker – www.tinkergin.co.uk
Yellow – Malfy – www.malfygin.com
Lime – The Lakes Elderflower Gin – www.lakesdistillery.com
Mint – Brighton Gin – www.brightongin.com
Pale Blue – Harris Gin – www.harrisdistillery.com
I would just like to point out these are not any ads, this is what I really really want. However if any brands would like to send me gin I will happily sing a drunken song on a Friday night on my Instastories which I am sure will make people rush out and buy! I cannot promise it will be in tune and sometimes gin does tip me over the edge and there are tears so its always a gamble…. X
