You don’t know how lucky you are! Just one of the phrases I promised myself I would never say when I was dare I say – old. When I was younger I deemed 30 as ancient so my younger self would be appalled that I am 41 and throwing down all the cliche lines. If I do not say “You treat this house like a hotel” at least once a day I do not feel my work as a Mum is done!
They don’t though – they do not know how lucky they are.Forget the fact they have t’internet and social media, mobile phones etc. Lets get back to basics. We could not google how to do the perfect eye liner flick or learn about contouring. I mean seriously WTF – I have no idea how to contour now – I feel a blog post coming on where I actually get shown how do to my make up!
Girls nowadays look flawless!! Where are the photos going to come from at their 18th and 21st – what will I have to humiliate them? No dodgy perms or short hair styles with huge flick fringes that moved as one they were so plastered with hairspray, no rah-rah skirts? Can you imagine my girls faces when I said we put bottle tops on our shoes to show we were Brosettes!!
Luckily for me my girls have not gone down the two slugs as eye brows route. I honestly do not get it!? I feel like throwing salt on these poor girls in the hope it will make the eyebrows shrivel up. I really need my eyebrows doing, just cannot work out from the chart below which look to go for…..
Forget the eyebrows though. I am not sure if you have noticed but it is very nearly Christmas. This was supposed to be a very quick post about something I think is fabulous for girls this Christmas but as usual I have started to waffle on – that is why I am called In No Particular Order I suppose.
Getting to the point. Just wanted to give you the heads up on a great little gift for a teenage girl.
Let’s Get Fruity this Christmas. They love anything Apple. That’s a given. Mac Book Pro, iPad or anything with that naughty little fruit on it. However it doesn’t matter how bloody good you have been all year not all budgets can stretch to that so how about this for a fruity alternative and no wifi connection required.
Lip balms are a necessity to a teenage girl and this gorgeous Make your Own Lipbalm kit is simply brilliant. Gets them learning a little of what it takes to make their lip balm and Sweet Cecilys even personalise the boxes. Over on @inpolife in the land of Insta I am doing a reveal on Insta-story to unwrap a box I got for my youngest daughter who is 13 (shhhhhhhhhhhh do not tell her). In fact I can sort out a tonne of pressies on there. Gin & Tonic Lip Balm is perfect for…….me. Oh Happy Christmas to me.
Head over to @inpolife to see the product. I bloody love it. Hope you do to!
